Minimalist living: Organizing ‘Stuff’ Into Groups

Minimalist living… surely this is where we should all be heading instead of “more plastic crap please”

I read a quote once saying ” You don’t need to be more organised.. you just need less stuff” LOVE THAT!!

One thing I have noticed from caravaning is how little we actually need and how little I miss all the stuff at home despite the fact I can’t seem to part with it. When I get home from a camping trip I vow that I can let go of almost everything as I don’t need it and yet when I hold it in my hands something stops me from wanting to let it go. I think “what if I need it” or it feels a waste and I feel guilty.

Living some weekends in the caravan is making me want to be more organized but also have less stuff as we are essentially living between two ‘homes’ I figure that (apart from a few things such as paperwork) we will need a selection from each of the following areas if we are living in the caravan or at home.. it makes no sense needing more when we are at home.

I therefor wanted to try and create a ‘capsule’ stuff list/plan/system…. so I have everything in really tidy boxes which I can grab and take to the caravan or have at home.. so I always have the essentials and don’t need much more than that. Part of our life plan may include tiny living for a while so I am also preparing for that too. I sort of want to push it to the edge đŸ˜‰ And if anyone was set up to sort out this issue it would be a self confessed hoarder of ‘stuff’. Seriously.. I can not let things go…. I keep EVERYTHING… but I want this to stop as I can see it is conflicting with my true life desires which evolves around freedom.

Guilty pleasure alert.. I am a geek over storage. I LOVE IT!!

So here are the areas in which I think we collect stuff.. if I have forgotten something then please do let me know. I want to get it down to a capsule box/bag which still allows me a lovely life while eliminating loads of waste and clutter.
